Day 4: The energy is AMPED!

I woke up at 6am today after going to bed at 12:30am...but I was ready and rarin' to go!  It's so weird!  I know that it's not healthy to do that all the time...but I am so wired today!  I get to get fabulous groceries this evening!  I am so pumped to try pomegranates and to get some lovely leafy greens to make stellar salads...plus wild rice.  Mmm...I love all of these things and I am remembering how full and happy I was while eating this way.  I know it seems crazy because I am so focused...but it's focused in a good way.

Breakfast:
2 scrambled eggs with bacon bits: 5pts
2 slices Smart White Bread: 3pts
2T Smart Balance Lite (essential oils): 2pts
1 Banana: 0pts

Lunch:
Lean Cuisine Steamer: 7pts

Walnuts/Almonds: 3pts


The walnut/almond packs are leftover from Korea.  I'm excited to get the straight-up almonds.  I think I will just buy a bulk container and snack baggies and then label with point values.  :)

Also - I am super excited because Erin Trawick and I decided that we are going to do an after school program starting in March and ending just before April break that is Dance Exercise.  We want to choreograph songs for it or find dance exercise songs online for it.  NICE!  I think I will try to use that Gasoline song I saw on YouTube!  LOVE IT!!!

Day 3: Can I make it until tomorrow?

Tomorrow is grocery day!  YES!  I've made it this far.  I cheated and stepped on the scale this morning because I felt so good.  I know it's wrong because weight fluctuates so much from day to day.  The good news is that I used to do this all the time and I haven't been under 240 for about 9 months now.  Today I was 239.4.  Neat...so we'll see how it goes Monday.

Still trying to make it through with what I've got until tomorrow.  This means not necessarily eating the BEST foods off the WW power list...but at least I am still within points and FULL.  Breakfast today was a bit extravagant.  I think next time I will half both the bacon bits and the feta - it was too much!  Having the SmartBalance on my toast was great, though, because it gave me my two tablespoons of essential oils for the day!  I was reading what it's made of and it has olive AND flax seed oil as the base!  NICE!  Anyway, here's my food today...

Breakfast:

1/4c Low-Fat Feta: 2

(And yeah...it was huuuuge.  Too much food...but I LOVE breakfast!)

Day 2 - empty food house challenge! LOL

Breakfast:

This worked out to a pretty awesome 8-point breakfast.  It was like having a burger for breakfast.  The smart white has extra fiber, protein, and whole grains.  So...

So...today I used all my points.  I can't wait to go grocery shopping and have stuff to make a salad out of those sausages!  They are SO good.  MMM...

I'm feeling pretty pumped about today.  I know I will be doing PATH to Wellness with this so I will be logging my steps as well...I know I'm doing Zumba today so I will be earning at least 7APs today...although I'm not sure if I will use them all.  Here's my food breakdown for today:

It's tricky because we're in the same pay period as when we spent $650 on our car repairs so I have to go grocery shopping in the WORST way...and our house does NOT really have points-friendly foods right now.  But I'm going with it.  Dinner is going to be pork chops, green beans, and rice...

Who am I?

Welcome to the obligitory "who am I" post.  It's lovely here!  Pull up a chair and start to skim through!
I decided to start this blog as a way to keep myself accountable for what I am eating, when and how I am exercising, and what recipes and new foods I'm trying.

My name is Carrie and I am a food addict. 

That about sums me up.  I've been here before - twice, actually - and here I am again.  My love affair with food - that beautiful temptress - has been on-again for about two years.  Two years ago I was 60lbs lighter.  In fact, I was the lightest weight I had been since high school!  After having a baby!  What gives?  I got to a nice weight and stopped doing the things I know I need to do to keep the weight off.  So here I am again, climbing back on the horse...and hopefully I will stay on this time.  My family, my health, and my emotional well being depend on it.
